当被问及打败一只大猩猩需要多少个奥尼尔的时候，奥尼尔表示：“我不知道你是否听过这个故事，但我去过的每个动物园，里面的大猩猩都想要跟我打一架。

“这是真的，事情始于迈阿密的动物园，工作人员总带我进后台，并叮嘱说‘别盯着猩猩看’，但我偏看了其中一只，它突然冲到玻璃前，跟我眼对眼对上了，它盯着我，我也盯着它，我心想‘你瞅啥呢？’，结果它一下就暴走了。

“他先是给了我一种眼神，好像在说‘嘿，伙计，你怎么在外面，我却在里面？’，然后他又是一种眼神，好像在说‘你的毛呢？你咋没毛？’，感觉他真的是想跟我干一架。”
